Nick Godwin

Nick Godwin joined Mercers in December 2007 as a consultant solicitor in the Commercial Department.
Nick read law at Exeter University and graduated in 1975. After university Nick trained and worked at former Maidenhead firm, Knight & Maudsley, (which has since merged with Kidd Rapinet). Nick moved client side in 1981 to become a solicitor at Racal Group Services Ltd which established the Vodafone business. Nick moved to Vodafone Group Plc in 1991 where as in-house counsel for 15 years he held various senior positions, including in his later years, Deputy Group General Counsel

Nick has wide experience in a broad range of general commercial and technology agreements and projects, including joint ventures and shareholder arrangements. He also has substantial intellectual property experience. Nick is accustomed to dealing with multi-jurisdictional transactions.
Nick is married with two children. His interests include travel, golf, cricket, music and gardening. He is a trustee of two charities and serves as a Panel Member in the Wessex Youth Offending Team.
